About the Artist

Growing up, I loved to draw and always wanted to learn to paint, but I never had the time to take lessons. In the late 80's, I watched a few episodes of "The Joy of Painting" with Bob Ross. I was amazed at the simplicity and effectiveness of his work. I decided to try it for myself, and I painted for about a year, but I became too busy with my professional life to continue. In 2009 (with my wife's encouragement), I started painting again.

I use oil paints to create my artwork, and due to my love of the outdoors, I primarily paint landscapes, which usually include mountains.

In 2012, I bought an inexpensive camera to take photos of my work to share with family and friends online. I knew nothing about cameras, so I began teaching myself about photography to capture the actual colors and quality of my paintings.

I fell in love with photography because it has all the natural elements of traditional art and provides me another way to be artistic and creative. As you can see from my photography, landscapes are still my passion.
